it has been a while

i guess my absence from my blog will let everyone know how busy we are. at work things are crazy with scholarship deadlines coming up. kevin is busy with pizza inn, officiating basketball, and preaching sometimes at a church in millen, ga.
we have also started a work from home business that we are really excited about. this business is going to enable me to stay at home when we have our first child. we have already seen success, so we are pumped about this opportunity.
i did have a hair fiasco about a week ago. i went to get my hair died blonde again and...i gave the girl the picture of my hair blonde and she foiled it and did everything my normal stylist did...but she left me under the drier FOREVER. well, i didn't really worry until she said..well your hair looks really light so i am goin to put a toner on it. so she did, and when she dried my hair, it was brown. my hair looked exactly the same as it did when i went in....and i paid big bucks. kevin was not happy when he saw it, especially after i told him the price.
now the toner is washing out and little by little i see white streaks in my hair....needless to say, i am going somewhere else to get it fixed. that is all for now!

new stuff with the windhams

well, i decided today that i don't post near enough, so i am updating you guys on bits and pieces of what is going on with the windhams. kevin has been preaching the past couple of sundays at a church in millen, ga. they are looking for an interim pastor, and they have invited him back. we think that is a good sign. oh to be heavily involved in ministry full time! that is our dream....

speaking of dreams...we have a few. one is that we want a big family...a house full of children( so says the girl with no children). we want me to be a full time mommy....did i say we? well, i am the one that really hopes for that day, but kevin is behind me on that. our ultimate dream would be to both be home with our kids as much as possible while working in ministry full time.

as for now, kevin is still working at pizza inn, officiating basketball games, and preaching when he can. i am working at the admissions office at georgia southern. we are working on our apartment, and things are coming a long bit by bit. we have come so far from katrina and have been richly blessed....i believe that we have been blessed "according to His riches."

hair poll

wow, two posts in one day....everyone should be proud of me. well, i really just need help with something. i am taking a poll because i am thinking about going back to the blonde look. anyone who reads my blog should post and let me know which one you like better. when i got these picutures developed, i realized how much i like my hair like that. just want to know the consensus before i go through it all again. i already know the opinions of the male population, but i will make my decision based on what all of the women out there think.

just for your info and for a more interesting post...this picture was taken in houston at an astros game with my husband. we went there for our first anniversary. he took me to the galleria mall....six flags...and a houston astros game!!! he did really well. can't wait to see how he tops that this year.

i hope everyone is having a great day!!!!!

another year

happy new year to all! i finally figured out this picture thing and wanted to share a picture of kevin and i from christmas. we had a wonderful christmas in parrott (my hometown) and in atlanta at kevin's mom's house. we had turkey and the fixins for lunch, and then we drove to atlanta for dinner and at prime rib. needless to say we ate well.

we are both sad that the christmas season is over. kevin and i talked about how the time from thanksgiving to christmas day is our favorite time of year, and that we both get sad on christmas day because there will be no more songs, decorations, or cozy feelings until next year.

anyway, kevin and i have finally started to really fix up our apartment, and it feels like home now. i believe some people call it "nesting." i am really the driving force behind the additions to our apartment. i guess it just comes with getting older...but i am just more focused on making a home now. i am also getting really good about coming home and cleaning (this is a stretch for me). i am also keeping the laundry done now!!! yea for me. the new year has brought with it a lot of excitement for a fresh start. i will not make a new year's resolution, but i will begin to focus on the things that i would like to change for the better. hope all of you are enjoying this new year as well and have recovered from the vacation.
